Traditionally Savon de Marseille soap contains no dyes, no perfume and no lye. It has 70% or higher amount of Olive oil, which is why it is often recommended by dermatologists for patients with irritated or sensitive skin, dry skin, psoriasis, or eczema. In our current times, some clays and traditional French fragrances are acceptable in a Marseille-type soap. As Marseille soap doesn't contain any coloring, allergens, or synthetic additives, it's best for babies and people with allergies. What's more, it makes so much lather that it can even be used as shaving foam. It cleanses the skin and prevents ingrown hairs.

Harvested from the south of France, French pink clay had been used exclusively in spas in pampering, luxurious treatments for a great number of years.
Pink Clay is very famous in skin care for its amazing calming, anti-aging and cleansing benefits. Pink clay is actually suitable for any skin type, but people with sensitive skin especially praise this type of clay for being so gentle and delicate with already problematic and troubled skin.
What makes this type of clay so gentle and suitable for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin? Unlike other clays, pink clay does not strip off skin natural oil barrier. Pink clay is often referred as Rose Clay because of the rosy colour.

Each bar is hand cut and trimmed and is approx. 3.5 Oz.  This listing is for one bar of soap. All of our artisan soaps may vary slightly due to the nature of the creative process.  Each soap is cut and packaged Individually.

Our soaps are cured for at least 4 weeks to produce a good, hard, long lasting bar of soap. To make them last even longer, please use a draining soap dish so the bar can dry out between uses. It really does make a difference.
